  • 180g Ballantyne Spreadable Lighter with Chia Oil (room temp)
  • ¾ cup castor sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups flour or gluten-free flour
  • ½ cup cacao powder
  • ½ cup shredded coconut
  • Pinch sea salt (optional)

Cacao and Coconut Energy Biscuits

These chocolatey biscuits are really yummy and healthy too. They make a great snack or treat in a lunchbox. You can use organic castor sugar for this recipe or honey for a healthier twist. We’ve suggested a few things you can add to them to make your own delicious creation.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C
Step 2
Line a baking tray with baking paper
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the Ballantyne Spreadable Lighter with Chia Oil and sugar until creamy
Step 4
Add the egg and vanilla and mix thoroughly
Step 5
Add flour, cacao powder, and salt and combine
Step 6
Roll into medium balls in the palm of your hand and press onto baking tray
Step 7
Bake for 10 to 14 minutes and enjoy
